A Seattle Sketchbook: Pike Place Market and Olympic Sculpture Park

Posting a few quick sketches from a very brief stopover in Seattle this summer. Unbelievably…. our first time there! With sunny skies, 80 degree weather and Pike Place Market filled to the brim with cherries, peaches and plums — it was truly magical. We only had enough time to grab a Piroshky, Piroshky, some fresh squeezed lemonade and a bag of Ranier cherries but thankfully I was allotted a few minutes to ogle the amazing collection of Fiesta Ware at Kitchen Basics — OMG!
We did squeeze in few more highlights in our mad dash: a water taxi ride across Elliot Bay (such a deal — $8 round trip for adults and 5 and under free) and a picnic with old friends at the wonderful Olympic Sculpture Park.

Love the on site sketches!
Aww thanks. Just quickies, but those are the ones I usually like the best in the end.
I have been following your blog since June. I enjoyed your view of my city Seattle. I often think of it as a mini- San Fransico! Come back soon.
Fell in love with your city (and it did remind me of home more than a bit). Can’t wait to get back. If you have ideas about what to eat & do (especially with kids) Would love your suggestions.
I love Seattle and this makes me want to plan a trip there! And of course I adore your sketches. Quintessential Stacie!
Thanks! It was sad to only have part of a day, but now I know I want to go back.
