Off the Grid Picnic in the Presidio

We are huge fans of getting food out of a truck and are super excited about the Off the Grid food trucks being at the Presidio for the month of October. We love the Off the Grid food truck gathering at Fort Mason, but it can get a bit windy and hectic with the little ones, especially if you show up on the later side. The Presidio’s Main Post is a fantastic spot for a food truck extravaganza. Plus, it is in the afternoon for every Sunday in October. As any San Franciscan knows – October is one of the best months weather-wise. The first Sunday coincides with Fleet Week (Hooray Blue Angels!!) on October 7th. If you are not into crowds, check out the trucks on any other Sunday in October between 11am to 4 pm.
Expect a combination of well-known food trucks and “brick-and-mortar” restaurants trying their hand at mobile food.
Participating vendors include (partial list):
Chotto
Creme Brulee Man
Del Popolo (mobile pizzeria we have been dying to check out)
Dixie
El Sur
Good Eggs
PortaPinoy by Hapa SF
Jablow’s Meats
Nopalito
Presidio Social Club
Roli Roti
Tim Lyum’s Gyoza Project
Wexlers
Wing Wing

We may have to come into town for this one. Sounds fun.
Let us know if you do….
One of the best spots for watching the Blue Angels is Angel Island. I have enjoyed this vantage point several times.
