Sunday Afternoon

There’s always a little dread at the end of another weekend, but on most Sunday afternoons I look forward to grabbing a few quiet moments to make myself a cup of coffee and commune with my cookbooks; flip through recipes handwritten by my mom, family and friends; and think about what we’re going to cook and eat in the week ahead. I usually manage to cobble together a loose game plan that gets us through the week, but my mind always seems to wander to all sorts of other interesting places, too. Perhaps I have stumbled upon some form of foodie meditation!
